Artristic Australia is a wholly Australian owned and managed family company, manufacturing and retailing an innovative range of products for artists including the artristic STUDIO Easel.
The company was established in 2009 by Sue and Tony Barber after Tony reimagined the traditional studio easel to make it more artist friendly and eliminate some of the age-old problems experienced by artists.
The Artristic team is dedicated to designing innovative, highly functional products with two primary aims:
- freeing artists from the physical boundaries that traditional easels and equipment place upon their creativity; and
- eliminating the design elements of traditional artists’ equipment that result in pain and discomfort for the artist.
BUSHFIRE UPDATE: Posted on the Artristic facebook page on January 6, 2020.
The bushfires currently terrorizing Australia are on such a scale that it is hard to truly comprehend the impact on those who have lost everything and the wider communities. 💔
Artristic HQ is located on idyllic Kangaroo Island in South Australia. “KI”, as it is called by the locals is the third largest island off the Australian coast spanning 4405 square kilometers (1700 square miles). It’s beauty and abundant wildlife make it a must-see destination.
To date (the fires are still burning) over 1/3 of our island home has been ravaged by bushfire, tragically resulting in loss of human life, homes and wildlife. There are reports that approximately half of the island’s koala population (~25,000) have been lost with many more injured. 🐨🍃
We are heartbroken and so very thankful for the volunteers who are doing everything from fighting the fires to caring for injured animals. 💔
